About the General Store Band - USA
Choosing our band's name was a bit of a process. We had several viable options on the table but ultimately decided on the General Store Band - USA because it fit what we were all about. With all the different types of music we play - be it country, rock, rock-a-billy, blues, instrumental, etc. - it's like walking into a general store, where they carry most anything.
We perform and produce our own original songs, which define who "we" are as performers. But we also have a number of bands and people that have influenced our music which we enjoy playing as well. Performers like Allen Jackson, George Strait, Conway Twitty, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Elvis, Carl Perkins, etc. The "Old School" performers who have shaped what country music is today!
